Next, add 1 teaspoon of ginger paste, 1 teaspoon of green chili paste, and 1 teaspoon of garam masala. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.

Now, add the soaked rice and mix gently. Pour 4 cups of water and add salt to taste. Let it come to a boil.

Once the water starts boiling, cover the pan and let the rice cook on low flame for 15 minutes. Do not open the lid in between.

In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1 bay leaf, and 2 cloves. Once they splutter, add 1 cup of chopped tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.

Add 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, and 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.

Now, add the cooked rice and vegetables to this pan and mix gently. Let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
